My stream of consciousness has always manifested in
Watercolors
Whether a simple flower or a building from my dreams, I've always found joy, and inspiration, in the simplicity of ink drawings and watercolors. Sometimes my watercolors inform a new project and other times they simply allow my mind to move onto the next idea!
This was an experiment in color aging a building to add texture to the exterior. I love the way the green interplays with the golden yellow of the facade.
The recreation of flowers has always intrigued me. Often I lose the "form" of replicating a specific species of flora and find myself drawing, or fabricating, flowers that fit the mood of the scene.
I was recently commissioned to make a garden act for a local nursery. During my brainstorming phase, I drew and painted this potted plant that became the re-creation to its right. I love when a creation I make is fabricated completely internally.
